Well, it’s official. Tonight, I made an important announcement to my Penn State colleagues, students, and alumni with a mixture of sadness and excitement. If I could live two lives simultaneously, that would be perfect, but none of us gets that luxury. I have made a choice. Here’s what the announcement said:
I have enjoyed working for Penn State and appreciate the support provided me during my time with the University, however, it has become clear to me that my four years with the program have resulted in a backlog of my own research and writing projects. In order to see them to completion, I must give up the day-to-day management of iMBA program.
Therefore, I would like to announce that I am resigning from my position as director of the iMBA program. My resignation will be effective September 30, however, my last day in the office will be September 20. The iMBA office and I are working together to make this transition as smooth as possible for the Penn State staff, faculty, and especially, the iMBA students. A search is being conducted for my replacement, and I am confident that an able candidate will be found.
I wish the Penn State staff, faculty, and the iMBA students the very best, and I look forward to keeping up with the continued success of this esteemed Penn State program.
All the best,
Ann
You know, it’s more than a little scary stepping away from a good job and paycheck, but I am fortunate to have Husband Jim in my corner. I deeply appreciate his support, and I hope to make him, and my family, proud.
